Our Thinking Invro FM Radio Invro Earpiece Radio |
ConclusionRadio is a versatile form of broadcasting which can provide access to information at minimum cost to the end-user. It is a particularly valuable form of communication in economically developing regions of the world where lack of infrastructure and levels of poverty can restrict access to information.
Power consumption is a crucial factor in determining the total cost of ownership of a portable radio set. This is strongly dependent on the form of radio broadcasting the set is designed to receive.
Analogue AM/FM receivers have the lowest power consumption and so are the least expensive to run. Satellite and Internet Radio can be rebroadcast over local analogue networks to reach a wider audience.
Reducing power consumption maximises the potential of all power source combinations to reduce the total-ownership cost of a portable radio. |

Our SolutionOur focus has been to minimise the total ownership cost of a portable radio by reducing the power consumption of an analogue radio set to an unprecedented low level. This process has resulted in the development of two radios; the Invro FM Radio and the Invro Earpiece Radio. |
